| What's this XB111 thing ?? | |||
|
The XB111 system has been
developed as a tool for all advanced CINEMA 4D users to make creating their high-quality 3D work a lot easier. The XB111 plugin consists of two combined modules: First, you have the ability to assign up to 5 different object to each of the 16 XB111 channels via drag&drop, and control their Position/Scale/Rotation behavior by simply moving the software sliders. Secondly (and this is the cool part!), you have access to the software sliders using any external MIDI controler, connected to the (properly installed) MIDI port of you Windows-based PC. (99.9% of common soundcards provide MIDI via the gameport!) You can use the external MIDI faders along with your mouse or tablet. |

SETUP THE SYSTEM |
Unzip the XB111 archive
into the CINEMA 4D
plugin folder. After starting CINEMA 4D, you activate the plugin by choosing XB111 from the plugin-menu. |
||
EXTERNAL MIDI |
To activate the proper function,
your MIDI controler (fader box) must be set up: Sending volume data (MIDI controler #07) on channels 0-15 for the XB111 channels 1-16. The MIDI system also gives you the ability to cascade two or more MIDI controler/fader boxes via MIDI In/Out, so you can build your own mix of hardware knobs and faders. |

|
To check the proper function of your MIDI hardware, your MIDI port and your MIDI connection cable, you can download the XB111 MIDICHECKER.EXE file from the www.XB111.de website. This little utility monitors the MIDI port and shows you the received MIDI data while you operate the faders. In the "TYPE" column you must see code 7 for the MIDI volume controler. In the "CHANNEL" column you must receive the values from 0-15 for the different midi faders. In the "DATA" column you see the values for each fader, and they must range from 0-127. |
